One Month Old

Well, as our pediatrician said at our one week appointment, we haven't killed her yet!  Yay!  We haven't even come close!  I can't believe it was one month ago that we went to the birth center at 11:30 in the morning and came home with an 8lb 5.5 oz. baby girl at  6:00pm.  Wow, what an amazing day!

8 lbs.  5.5 oz!!

My amazing birth team (not including the midwives there)  I am so lucky to have such great support and so thankful to the Charleston Birth Place for a safe and comfortable place to give birth!  Thanks!

Our first week home was full of visitors and sleeping (for Siler and Salem), lots of cooking and diaper changing for Parrish and lots of cleaning, dog walking and baby holding for Grandma.  When grandma left  we quickly discovered the baby carrier and Siler loves it, as a matter of fact she's sleeping in the carrier right now! Oh, to just have someone hold you all the time....

Daddy's first diaper change....note there is not a diaper on the baby!

Reading the instructions....

We loved the pediatrician, Siler did not.

Siler has gained a little over a pound this month.  Shes a great eater and sleeper (sometimes 5-6 hours at night!) We really could not have a better baby! She doesn't do this (below) very often.

She loves bath time and loved meeting her cousins Sam and Christopher!

We went to Lake Lure for several days and Siler enjoyed meeting Starr, Desmond and Isabelle, Ashleigh and Mandy,  and her great aunties Kay and Lou.  We had such a great time and Siler loved the cool mountain air, well, it wasn't that cool, but she enjoyed the view!

We also hit the fun and fancy float festival in Hot Springs.  Thanks for having a superfun birthday every year Laura!  Hopefully Siler will never miss a year!

Siler had her first beach trip to Sullivans Island to take the dogs for a walk on the beach.

It's been a very thrilling month for us.  Siler already seems like she's not a newborn anymore and she's gotten so much stronger in the past month.  Sorry for the super long post - hopefully I'll keep up with this weekly!  Here are some more photos, just to make sure you got your Siler fix!
